cyprosIt's been a long time since the last time I posted. Some things have prevented me to do so. One of them was that I left my afternoon job after a very bad time, courtesy of my boss there and that brought me quite a hard time. I ended up feeling quite drained and low and not feeling at all inspired as to come. And I'm sorry, because I love LJ and I'd like to be more regular and keep in touch with you often. But really, I didn't have the energy, nor the spirit as to even try to log in.
Fortunatelly, life is made of ups and downs and at some given point, bad times make room for good ones, or at least to better ones and now I'm begining to feel as myself again, if not totally, more than in the past months. At least good enough as to log in again and even change my layout completely!! And good enough as to try and post again. I hope this becomes a habit from now on...
I haven't been into your journals so I don't know how you're doing. I hope these months have been good for you all. This is something more I want to do in the next days, to go and read what's been happening and if you are really all right. I really hope so...
But this is getting so serious... Let's change the tune a bit...
About my header, it comes from the fantastic poster of Eastern promises -a fantastic film I would like to comment about in the future-, and these, of course, are Viggo Mortensen's hands. I don't know if I have ever told you before but I have this extrange fixation with masculine hands... they simply fascinate me... So once I saw that poster and those beautiful hands emerging from it, I simply had to put them here. I don't know if you like it but I found Viggo's hands just splendid and couldn't resist the temptation. But I'd like to know your opinion if you feel like commenting about this new look.
And now a little gift for my friendginger001. I have found a very interesting site containing lots of galleries related to silent movies stars or early pictures of stars that were present in both, silent and non silent films and I thought she could like some of them. I hope you haven't seen these ones, Ginger!!!
There are only two things I apologize for: the pics' quality is not terrible -as well as the size- and also, there isn't any references as to what film or circumstances they were taken from. But anyway they seemed quite rare and nice as to have a look at.
So here they go!!
The first set are some Douglas Fairbanks Jr's pics. He looks so cute and young -very young!-, in some of them...
I love these two... Even with the poor quality! He's just a kid...!!! Really, I don't think he was older than sixteen or seventeen! And he was already very handsome!
The next two are from some film(s).
Here it's clear the lady is Greta Garbo...
On the other hand, I'm not able to identify this other fortunate "female"... If anybody knows, please tell...!

I also found some very attractive actors of that period I remembered quite differently, as my inner image of them was much older. Here are two of them that I think were quite impressive...
Charles Farrell He was really good looking!
George O'Brien Maybe not so handsome but, in a time were athlethic actors were not the canon I really liked the change! He was indeed in a very good shape XD...
And last but not least, a beautiful pic of the great Clark Gable. This one is not coming from that site but he's always such a joy to the eye -isn't he???-, that I felt he deserved to be here too ;)
I just love his expression and the way he smiles to his doggie... just charming *sigh*
But I'll stop here -for the moment I hope ;)-. I hope you have enjoyed these and please do comment if you feel like it! I'll be very glad as I have really missed you :)
